THE BIGGEST HITS OF 2003
I periodically give you a report on the E-Business Secrets links that were clicked the most by a representative sampling of
my readers. Whenever I publish a "Best Of" issue, many of the top-ranked links get even more click-throughs in the following
week than they attracted the first time out. (I call this the "if-everyone-else-liked-them-they-must-be-good" effect.)
To celebrate the switch to my new publishing system, I'm sharing with you the most popular items published in the newsletter
in 2003 to date. To allow comparisons between links that were published months ago with links that appeared only last week,
I count only those click-throughs that occurred within seven days after an issue appeared.
Each item that's shown below bears a score. I give a link a score of 10.0 if it received a number of click-throughs equal
to the average of all links during the four-month period. A link that received twice as many clicks as the average gets a
score of 20.0, and so forth.
